Adaptation Fund Climate Innovation Accelerator (AFCIA)

Description
This program provides small grants to accelerate innovation in climate change adaptation in developing countries. It aims to foster new tools, technologies, and business models for building resilience. For fiscal year 2026, a US$60 million funding provision has been made for the second call for proposals under this accelerator.
Eligibility
Grants are available to developing country governments, NGOs, communities, young innovators, and other stakeholder groups through accredited Multilateral Implementing Entities (MIEs) like UNEP and UNDP. NIEs can also apply directly.
