Description

Darwin Initiative Extra Round 32 provides large-scale grants (£1M–£5M) for ambitious biodiversity conservation and poverty reduction projects. Emphasizes systems-level change, environmental governance, and institutional frameworks. Stage 1 (concept notes) closed July 1, 2026; Stage 2 is by invitation only (deadline November 2, 2026). New applicants should monitor for Round 33.

Eligibility

Organizations that passed Stage 1 review (by invitation only for Stage 2). Projects must be in 13 priority biodiversity hotspots across 35 eligible countries. Lead organizations may submit only one application per scheme.
