Description
CEPF has committed up to $8 million for a new five-year investment phase (2026-2031) in the Mountains of Central Asia Biodiversity Hotspot covering Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. The Regional Implementation Team has been selected and grant calls for conservation projects are expected to open in late 2026. Approximately 100 grants planned for civil society organizations.
Eligibility
NGOs, community-based organizations, universities, and research institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Small grants up to $50,000 managed by the RIT; larger grants managed by CEPF Secretariat.
