The Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund provides targeted grants up to $25,000 for field-based conservation of threatened species of animals, plants, and fungi worldwide. Three annual cycles. The September/October 2026 window opens September 15 and closes October 15. Applications via official online system only. Does not discriminate by region, organization, or species type.

Eligibility

Global scope. Open to individuals and organizations. Priority for species classified as Critically Endangered, Endangered, or Data Deficient by IUCN Red List. Must focus on in situ conservation work (field research, habitat restoration, direct recovery management). No funding for core administrative overheads.
